Career and talent, in relation to vocation. <1Co7:17,21,24; 2Co10:15-16; 1Co12:31; Col3:17; Ro12:3>

 

Scripture Reading:  <2Cor 5:10-15>

 

1. Career in relation to vocation.

1) Creation ordinances and stewardship, but what is the purpose of life?

* Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Sabbath, labour, sanctity of marriage.

* Productivity, govern, responsibilities, science.

 

2) After effectual call, God calls a believer to a vocation, to live according to His great redemption plan.

* Outward call

* Inward call = Effectual calling

* Priesthood of all believers

3) Vocation is the way God works through man to govern His creation and to bestow His gifts.

* With access to God's word, embrace new doors of vocation.

 

4) God calls us to service, often bittersweet, but to the best of our abilities.

* Vocational success = good and faithful servant.

 

2. Finding your vocation.

1) Divine calling is often not a mystery; most of the time it's what we are interested in and good at.

 

2) God not only calls us to a vocation, but He also gives talents in equipping us to fulfill our mission.

* Be good stewards and grow in the use your talents, time, money, possessions, opportunities for eternity.

 

3) Every vocation can serve God, be content and don’t make more effort than required to change.
