1. Challenges to the study of God's word.

1) An interest in the Bible does not necessarily mean life changes.

2) Because the Word of God is truth, the Bible should empower us instead.

3) We must know what understanding the Word of God in full implicates and means.

4) Therefore, there must be some good prayer and preparation, and it is vital that the church be prepared.

 

2. Let's look at Josiah's religious reform that did not entirely succeed.

3. Let's look at Ezra's religious reform - The scriptures brought about faith and repentance.

1) True bible study begins when the saints see their need for faith (to be produced).

 

2) Seeing the ungodly, but delighting in the word of God, and therefore meditates day and night.

3) It brings about repentance.
