Labor for the Church <Col 1:21–29>

1. Who was Paul laboring for?

1）Must clearly know the object of Paul’s labor and service

2）Paul pointed out the past and present spiritual state of the saints

3）If you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel

2. Paul’s mentality as he labored for the church

1）Paul rejoiced in what he was suffering for the church

2）Paul filled up in his flesh what was still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of the church

3. How did Paul labor for the church?

1）Present the hidden mysteries of God (word of God) in its fullness

2）Admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ

3）Strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me
