1. The more eager anyone is to follow Christ, the less prepared he may be.

1) Do not expect a good break or be well-rewarded at the next stop

2) Once God's calling arrives, family responsibilities can no longer be a freedom of choice

3) Following Christ until we enter the kingdom of heaven is not a mundane affair to which we can turn back.

2. How does the saving grace of God discover itself when it is in the heart of man?

1) "Crying out against sin" vs "abhorring of sin"

2) "Great knowledge of gospel mysteries" vs "Carefully observe God's law to please Him"

3. Strive to enter through the narrow door that leads to life.
