God has to become our Lord in the area we struggle, and then all sufferings will disappear. God meant to love us because He understands us most.

If we give our bodies for God as an offering, we must know how glorious this is. Many times, we sing hymns to offer to the Lord. What does it mean? It means that whatever the Lord gives me as my family conditions, the money that is given me, I will just take it in. This means accepting what the Lord has all arranged for us. Our sufferings and inability to have joy is because God has not become our Lord in the area we struggle in. Last Sunday, after the worship service, I thought something might not be right. I went back home and watched a movie with my wife. It was called "Evan Almighty". The actor in the movie had all his plans for his lifetime, but God told him to build an ark. He went through lots of frustrations because everybody said he was crazy but the Lord continued to tell him, "My son, I love you. Therefore, build the ark." As he slowly submitted because God is most stubborn, he slowly had his perspective changed, and went through a lot of healing and sanctification. After I watched the movie, I reached the conclusion that God knows us the best. It is not that God has His plan and we must follow His plan. But it is because God knows us best, so He wants us to build the ark. Therefore, I learnt firstly that God's love is the most stubborn. Secondly, I learnt that Jesus Christ's best persona is not that He can perform miracles or is the most gentle and compassionate person alive, but that Christ's best persona is that He can submit fully to God. Do we know that the things we eat, think, like and thus do are all cheap? Do we know that it is cheap like a prostitute and most ugly when a person has motives such that he inevitably must struggle and strive in his living? Thus such a person always struggles around why people do not understand him and why his conditions are inferior to others who are around him.

1000 sacrifices (Solomon's difference)

Why was Solomon so rich to the extent that there were none before and after him who were as wise and as wealthy as him? God decides this and no one can change this. However, we must know that the greatest thing about Solomon is not his wisdom or riches, but the most blessed thing is that Solomon offered 1000 sacrifices. The most blessed thing is not because of our conditions, but the extent to which we are able to accept His arrangements for us and by this, we seek how to submit Him. Then we will only have joy. One day, Solomon heard the word of God, he then believed, and thus followed and did.

Heard -> Believed -> Submitted

Then slowly, God will change our characters, etc, and He will build up the temple in me. After I watched the movie, I find myself so cheap and dirty. Many times, I do not submit. Then I heard the Lord saying that He loves my very heart. This is a very important word.

First Adam: Chaos

Jesus Christ: Second Adam -> converse

When we read 2 Chronicles, no matter whether it was David, Solomon or us, we must know that we were originally in chaos. Actually, everything, from the spiritual, visible, to interpersonal relationships, has a system. If we do not know anything, without purpose nor method, born into chaos, we will just do as we wish - eating and doing as we wish. This happened with the first Adam. Therefore, man was born into chaos, lived in chaos, and left the earth in chaos. Therefore, Jesus Christ, the second Adam came, to restore His purpose and His method. God's purpose is to put His heart and mind into man! When the first Adam fell and was depraved, He could work to put His heart and mind into us. When Jesus Christ came, He gave us righteous garments of skin to wear. Through the seed of woman, He told us how we can hear the word of God and converse with Him. This made us restore to God. After that, God made a sword guarding the Garden of Eden. This means that there will then be no other way other than Jesus Christ that we can receive eternal life and the wellspring of life and power on earth.

Second Adam

Chaos -> Build the temple

Ab: leave Ur, Ms: only system developed with the correct start with Passover

Why must Abraham leave his hometown? He must leave the first Adam, and must offer sacrifices based on the second Adam. Why must Moses perform the 10 miracles (plaques)? Yet, the Pharaoh was only surprised or shocked, but he was never totally in fear. If it was not for the miracle of the blood (the tenth plaque), Satan will not let us go. No matter how much we receive from the Lord, whether money from heaven, or interpersonal relationships restored between husband and wife, Satan is not afraid. So what if the Lord gives money right now? Satan can take the money away later again. Only when the miracle of the blood is performed, we can proclaim that our life is nothing, and all the money and interpersonal relationships I have is not mine, but the Lord's. Then Satan has no choice but to let us go. Then, when we reach the Red Sea, the problem is going to bury Satan alive. Our life must be very much rooted. How do we look at the times we live now? Can we live and pray only 50%? There is nothing like this at all. Satan always has his tail around. David knew about this and thus he had a system. No matter how bad a sin he had committed, he had a system on how to turn to God and pray, and come back even stronger and more intimately with the Lord. No matter how our illnesses are healed, there is no use unless we build the temple. There are many times that I quarrel with my wife and have bad times. However, I have a temple or system in me such that I do not continue to complain and be in sorrows. If we do not have this system, we will only go to the Buddhist temples or come to the church, giving donations or asking for blessings in poverty.

Chronicles Overview

1, 2 Samuel, 1, 2 Kings -> Israelites must repent: Admonishment

1, 2 Chronicles -> Israelites must be comforted: Encouragement

What is the main outline of Chronicles? Why must God rewrite the book of Kings? The events are the same, and there are 20 kings with David and Solomon, but the important points are different. The book of Kings was written during the exile to tell the Israelites that they must repent because it was because of their disbelief that resulted in them becoming slaves. However, Chronicles was written after the Israelites had returned to their land. Therefore, God wanted to emphasize about comfort and encouragement. We have already been disciplined and punished for so many years. Therefore, it is time for us to be comforted. We must therefore receive comfort through Chronicles no matter how cheap we are in the past. If we hear the voice of the Lord now, no matter how bad our past is, God is going to change everything if we no longer walk the road of the past. Therefore, let us decide now that we want to walk with Him. If we build the temple according to His heart desires, we can be relieved and be comforted.

What Solomon received were the same as what we received. The Israelites could even be accepted after they had done so much evil. That being the case, how much so will God receive us into His hands?

1 Chronicles

1. The genealogy of promise

2. United the kingdom

3. Safe-kept the ark

What we shall worry more than whether our children are well is whether we have safe-kept the ark in our hearts.

4. Destroyed enemies

5. Prepared the building of the temple

180 Degrees differences after temple is built -> how to live, grace received, stable, able to drive demons, evangelize

We must build the temple. This means having the centre (Ark of the Covenant), and the way to do (usage of money, management of family, etc). Now, if I am a bachelor, how shall I live? If I earn $10,000 a month, how shall I live? If I earn $1000 a month, how shall I live? If I pray by the temple, we will have a system of living and know how to live.

The temple talks about Jesus Christ. If we know more and more about Jesus Christ and His perfect will , this is called building the temple. If you have the temple, the grace you receive will be different. In the morning, if you do not have the system to pray, you just pray a lot and hear a lot of messages, but we can just touch and go about a lot of things but never accomplish anything. When we have no temple, we will be overjoyed at hearing a testimony, but we easily fall. We must not listen blurrily now.

I tell you frankly, if you do not build the temple, no matter how much knowledge you acquire in the world, you will not be able to drive demons and will also not be able to evangelize. I see how my previous boss had everything in the world, and he also experienced so much in the spiritual dimension, but when SARS came, he was the most fearful. He had no courage to touch anything, and had to isolate everything and wash his hands always. If I cannot drive demons, cannot be upright and have not died and resurrected before God, I cannot even stand on the pulpit and preach the word. However, there are preachers who are able to do so. These pastors only preach knowledge and they are similar to Pharisees whom Jesus called hypocrites and cursed them.

I have been sick for 3 weeks but because I have a system in me, I can lead the ministry with no problems. Look at my 4 years of ministry, and you will know that this year, I have been sick the most. However, I just die more to the Lord this year.

2 Chronicles

1. King Solomon Inherited David <1:1-9:31>

2. The successes and failures of 20 Kings <10:1-36:21>

3. Exiled -> 70 years -> Returned <36:22-23>

These 70 years were very important. During these 70 years, we can see Daniel's prayer and Esther's repentance prayer. This is the reason of why Ezra wrote Chronicles. The reason for why Israel returned was for them to rebuild the temple. God promised Ezra and Nehemiah that if they returned, the temple they built would be more glorious than that of Solomon's temple. When Jesus Christ came into Jerusalem, He said, "Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You will be in famine until the time when you hear 'Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord'." Do not be afraid when I repeat again and again the word of the Lord in reminders. Our emotions are easily affected once we hear something. Even when we hear praises of someone, and again we hear some bad comments on the same person, we easily change our understanding of him. If we do not have the temple, we will have no root or grounds to know anyone. A person will be spiritually mature and stable and have fixed perspective then.

1. King Solomon Inherited David <1:1-9:31>

1) Wisdom <1>

2) Build temple <2-5>

3) Converse with God / Offer sacrifices <6-7>

4) Evidences <8>

5) Testimonies that blessed all nations <9>

1) Wisdom <1>

Do not aim for any wealth or abundance. Ask for wisdom and the wisdom of how to use money will come to you. What is the foundation of all wisdom?

* <Pro 1:7> Knowing Jehovah is the start of all wisdom

Knowing Jehovah means knowing that He is omnipotent. This means that I know what God is doing in my life and I have full assurance. Jehovah is abundant. At first, we may have thought that God only accomplishes <Php 4:19> by our faith of knowing He is abundant, but in the whole context of Philippians, we then understand that Philippians is testifying how to be satisfied in all kinds of situations. Knowing that God is abundant means that I am satisfied with what God gives me. God is righteous, which means that I know the things I do will enhance my boast of Jesus Christ. Jehovah is also love.

First, we acknowledge that there is a source. This is the promise and plan given by God. Then God will give us timely by that source. Then we just

* Systemize it to use.

Promise, plan -> Given timely -> System

For us, the system we have is the whole bible and the whole thousands of years of history. If we have received much more than Solomon, why do we not have wisdom like Solomon? Solomon offered 1000 sacrifices!

* Hunger

If we meet with problems, or know so much that without God, we will die, why do we not hunger? This is the level of hunger! Some people do worship and hear the messages half-heartedly. One look and we will know. Some people continue to think about their struggles and inferiority but think that the message is not for them. However, the message continues to speak to them! Sometimes, I have no worries for a group of brothers and sisters because I know the word has touched them during the meeting. But for some, I am concerned. This difference in "hungering for righteousness" is the reason of the extent of wisdom we received.

(1) Ignorance

Some people have not heard the word at all. But have we heard? Yes!

(2) Disbelief

Why do we disbelieve easily?

(3) No system (format)

Why do we not have a system even though this has been repeated over time? If we have no interest in Math, we will just try to memorize the answer. However, Math and Science cannot be memorized and Math cannot be used against a new set of problems. What is most important in Math is the formula. By this, the equation and answer will come out. If we only have 50% of the formula, we may only have 50% of the answer.

Prayer is a spiritual science. If we do not abide by this system, we will not be able to pray. However, some cannot pray well. This is because

(4) Never remember

Even though you may know well, you may not do Math well if you do not practise often. Therefore, we often forget.

This is the reason why we receive so much more than Solomon, yet do not have the amount of wisdom that Solomon has.

2) Build temple <2-5>

(1) Safe-keep the Ark of the Covenant into the center of the temple

Courtyard, Holy Place, Most Holy Place

The courtyard is our body. The Holy Place represents our heart and mind. The Most Holy Place represents our spirit. Why must we bring the Ark of the Covenant into the Most Holy Place? In the Most Holy Place, there are 2 big cherubim. On top of the Ark of the Covenant is the Mercy Seat or Atonement Cover. When God covers our sins, He will come to us to forgive all our sins and reward. It is the Most Holy Place that the accusations, which is not easy to remove, will be got ridden of. When our spirit knows that God has forgiven us of all our debts, we will then be bold before the Lord. Even though people may praise us, we know our very own spirits.

(2) God lives in me: Trinity

What is Trinity? Many theologians explain Trinity wrongly. Trinity has the same purpose, method, heartbeat, etc. But even if I try to explain Trinity, it may be wrong. Only God will reveal to us what we may know.

(i) God the Father: righteousness, love, all-powerful, eternal, abundant

We cannot know the Father by the other gods. It is not by our actions or works. It is by His standard. Man has been in accusations from birth. Therefore, he cannot know anything of God and will be in bias. John Calvin is correct. If man is depraved, how can he know God? He can only know that he has err by his conscience and that is probably to the extent of Shakyamuni where he knows that there is retribution for sin.

(ii) God the Son: Incarnation (Logos, Rhema), Death and Resurrection (New Creation), Throne Dominion (Victory by Total Submission)

Christ is the incarnation of God. Please read the four gospels more. If you grasp the four gospels well, you will know immediately and very easily the perfect will of God as you read about how Jesus went about his days on earth. Despite His death and resurrection, some people may not think that Jesus Christ is a hero. We are new creations by this. And Christ dominated all by sitting at the right side of the throne of God. He overcame everything by this. <Php 2> says that Christ totally submitted until He died and He did even considered Himself King. Guanyin only gorged her eyes out as a commoner to save someone by her own conscience. However, Christ submitted even till death, and to God.

(iii) God the Holy Spirit: Conviction, Anointing, Fruits

"Lord, anoint my pastor." What does this mean? This means, "Lord, let all the words in my pastor come out in power and in conviction." Anointing has connection with the word of God. In the bible, it is written that we anoint someone with oil after he has believed the word of God.

So what does it mean by building the temple? This is by building up knowing Who God is (Father), building up the relationship with God (Christ), and building up the perfect will of God (Holy Spirit). I know what I speak and am assured and no one can deny what I say. If someone tells me that we have to go to such and such an MRT to evangelise, I will ask him where his grounds are. What I mean is that we can be assured if we have grounds. This is the system above. There was once Pastor Kong said, "Jesus Christ must become our Lord, then the conviction of the Holy Spirit can come". This is correct.

3) Converse with God / Offer sacrifices <6-7>: Confirm once through

This is called confirming by having a concentration prayer. If you have always known God mystically, such that you want to ask God for sudden special blessing upon your job, you must go through at least once, "What has God lead by in the past, and what is the plan of God for me now." Daniel came to the land of Babylon and he made a resolution. The resolution is not about not eating and drinking, but he resolute to keep the system till the exiles return. Paul systemized his knowledge of the bible into Christ ideology, and thus he wrote Ephesians which tells of the love of the Father comes in spiritual blessings, the love of Christ, the seal of the Holy Spirit and therefore how much the hope, inheritance and power we have. Am I the work of Trinity? We must go through this at least once.

For me, I went through once and I know the purpose of my living. When I go through the four gospelization and the five miracles, I know what is God's perfect will for me in this era. For example, if I want to go shopping tomorrow, there is no need to ask the pastor if I can do so. You can just pray by this system to know whether the time is right. There is nothing that is wrong or right. There are things that God allowed you in your timetable so that there is no need to be pressured. God has led me so much now, therefore I just submit and I will receive blessings. If I come to a crossroad, if I know the temple, then I will know if I am submitting or not following Him. We must really understand this now!

Passage Reading

2Ch. 6:1 Then Solomon said, ÒThe LORD has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud;

This means that God must be invisible.

2Ch. 6:2 I have built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell for ever.Ó

2Ch. 6:3 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned round and blessed them.

We should be like this, that we bless the whole nation.

2Ch. 6:4 Then he said: ÒPraise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who with his hands has fulfilled what he promised with his mouth to my father David. For he said,

2Ch. 6:5 `Since the day I brought my people out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built for my Name to be there, nor have I chosen anyone to be the leader over my people Israel.

The Lord does not need a temple to live in and does not need a king because He is king Himself. However, it is because of the weakness of the man that God allowed Kings (ref: book of Judges).

2Ch. 6:6 But now I have chosen Jerusalem for my Name to be there, and I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.Õ

2Ch. 6:7 ÒMy father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

2Ch. 6:8 But the LORD said to my father David, `Because it was in your heart to build a temple for my Name, you did well to have this in your heart.

It is good because God recognized that David had a good motive.

2Ch. 6:9 Nevertheless, you are not the one to build the temple, but your son, who is your own flesh and blood — he is the one who will build the temple for my Name.Õ

2Ch. 6:10 ÒThe LORD has kept the promise he made. I have succeeded David my father and now I sit on the throne of Israel, just as the LORD promised, and I have built the temple for the Name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

How do we know that we can build the temple? If I go to some other churches, I will know some did not come to hear and thus believe in God. We will know by how the Lord has kept His promise, that all the accomplishments we have today are through succeeding the faith of ancients through to our senior pastor.

2Ch. 6:11 There I have placed the ark, in which is the covenant of the LORD that he made with the people of Israel.Ó

2Ch. 6:12 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands.

Let's jump to verse 18.

2Ch. 6:18 ÒBut will God really dwell on earth with men? The heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain you. How much less this temple that I have built!

2Ch. 6:19 Yet give attention to your servantÕs prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence.

2Ch. 6:20 May your eyes be open towards this temple day and night, this place of which you said you would put your Name there. May you hear the prayer your servant prays towards this place.

2Ch. 6:21 Hear the supplications of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray towards this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling-place; and when you hear, forgive.

Why do we need a temple? This is because we are in this world of accusations every day and the world continually gives us troubles. In frustrations, we cannot see God.

2Ch. 6:22 ÒWhen a man wrongs his neighbour and is required to take an oath and he comes and swears the oath before your altar in this temple,

2Ch. 6:23 then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, repaying the guilty by bringing down on his own head what he has done. Declare the innocent not guilty and so establish his innocence.

2Ch. 6:24 ÒWhen your people Israel have been defeated by an enemy because they have sinned against you and when they turn back and confess your name, praying and making supplication before you in this temple,

Why would Israel fight a losing battle? Israel must have sinned! Facing the temple to pray will restore them.

2Ch. 6:25 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to them and their fathers.

2Ch. 6:26 ÒWhen the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray towards this place and confess your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them,

2Ch. 6:27 then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel. Teach them the right way to live, and send rain on the land that you gave your people for an inheritance.

2Ch. 6:28 ÒWhen famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when enemies besiege them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,

2Ch. 6:29 and when a prayer or plea is made by any of your people Israel — each one aware of his afflictions and pains, and spreading out his hands towards this temple —

2Ch. 6:30 then hear from heaven, your dwelling-place. Forgive, and deal with each man according to all he does, since you know his heart (for you alone know the hearts of men),

2Ch. 6:31 so that they will fear you and walk in your ways all the time they live in the land that you gave our fathers.

2Ch. 6:32 ÒAs for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm — when he comes and prays towards this temple,

2Ch. 6:33 then hear from heaven, your dwelling-place, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house that I have built bears your Name.

And what is the conclusion from all these? This is for all people on earth to know the Lord! Therefore, the temple was built for the Gentiles. God will have mercy, save, heal and use the Gentiles who call upon Him.

2Ch. 7:1 When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.

When we turn to God, the fire of the Lord will burn up the desires of our heart and lusts. We will be so relieved then! We will no more live flippantly, but will have a system to live then.

2Ch. 7:2 The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it.

2Ch. 7:3 When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshipped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, ÒHe is good; his love endures for ever.Ó

2Ch. 7:4 Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.

2Ch. 7:5 And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the people dedicated the temple of God.

2Ch. 7:11 When Solomon had finished the temple of the LORD and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the LORD and in his own palace,

2Ch. 7:12 the LORD appeared to him at night and said: ÒI have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.

God is convicted that He replied Solomon!

2Ch. 7:13 ÒWhen I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

2Ch. 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

If we call upon God's name, this means calling by His temple. "Then will I hear..." - If you love the Lord so much, will God not moved in reply? If your petition is just for money or food, will God be moved? If your prayers have a system such that you ask for His name, won't God be moved? Therefore, I tell you not to pray flippantly. God's eyes and heart are on those who pray according to the temple. His pleasures are on those who know this. His eyes and ears are ever so sharp. Therefore, let us not say again that the Lord never hears our prayers.

2Ch. 7:15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

2Ch. 7:16 I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there for ever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

2Ch. 7:17 ÒAs for you, if you walk before me as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws,

2Ch. 7:18 I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, `You shall never fail to have a man to rule over Israel.Õ

2Ch. 7:19 ÒBut if you [The Hebrew is plural.] turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you [The Hebrew is plural.] and go off to serve other gods and worship them,

If you do not have or accord to the system, you will surely be biased to go after idols. The system tells you to go towards the direction of the temple, the kingdom and to love the Lord. If you do not, you will surely be led by your emotions. Be wary.

2Ch. 7:20 then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple which I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.

2Ch. 7:21 And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, `Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?Õ

2Ch. 7:22 People will answer, `Because they have forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshipping and serving them — that is why he brought all this disaster on them.ÕÒ

Therefore, a lot of people say, "Look at you. You become a Christian and you always get sick and get bullied. God allowed because if He gave them blessings, it will be harming them as they do not have God as their Lord. But do not fear. When God gives such warning, He always will also go to the extreme to say, "But if you return..." Therefore, for those who are loved by God to hear this, if you have the temple to know how to remove the guilt in your heart, you will rejoice at hearing this, "Thank the Lord for loving this. Without such, I will be lost." Therefore, only fear that we do not build the temple, and there are things we do not give to the Lord.

I leave this for you at the end. There are 7 types of worships:

(1) Individual worship

(2) Family worship

(3) Church worship

(4) Discipleship Training

(5) Small group worship

(6) Prayer meeting worship

=>

(7) Living fields worship

At the end of the worship / meeting, you must ask yourself. Has Christ become your Lord? We do things under the permission of God. For example, if we are thinking of going on a tour over the weekend of Good Friday, we will know that we will have lost a very important period of grace. Do not go if it is an important time. If you are more and more blessed, you know it is not good for you, and you will not enjoy such things. May this become a prayer for you!
