2 Chronicles Overview Part 7 - Reformation!

Train to materialize God's word as our evidences.

Check yourself: do you like to go DT, work, family more?

Only 2 things we can bring home to the Lord:

(1) the image that our Lord and all men see of us

(2) the fellowship or relationships in the church

2 Chronicles Overview

Confirm: Gentiles cannot be joyful because they do not know the core (eternal/spiritual) reason for their suffering

Be watchful, preserve hearts and minds, as we can fail again in a few hours.

1. Solomon who inherited David (Principle of Success) <1:1-9:31>

1) Wisdom (Perfect will) -> Peace/joy

Direction of the Lord, exceeds all, manifested in saint's life.

2) Build the temple (format): Life operating system, Living operating system -> Protection

3) Offer sacrifice (converse with God) -> Reaction/method to all things

* 4) Fulfillments (Evidences)

* 5) Testimony

Evangelism doors: God-driven joy = practical reaction-al prayer topics

2. The Successes and Failures of 20 Kings

1) The Nation Split and Continually Failed... Why?

Ahaz:

Personal failure: fearing lack of grace -> see disasters in lifetime

Family failure: spiritual reaction when touched with someone really blessed

Church failure: no gospel message, pastor's life

(1) Lose promise (no purpose, cannot see God)  -> (covenant) - honour, purpose, belonging

<-> Convenience, motives ...

(2) Religion (Not Practical, Legalism/Ritualistic/Mysticism, Humanism)

Orderliness = works of belief, not of rule

(3) No Power/Evidence = No Faith (Enemies, failed battles, no consecration)

activator/starter = assurance/faith

(4) Assimilation with the world (compromise, marriage, worship idols) -> no God

World = thought of no Jehovah

(5) Totally Failed (Discipline, Captured) = Individual's reason of failure / Family reason of failure / Church reason of failure

Examples of Rehoboam, ..., Ahaz, ...

2) Reformation Movement of Belief (Jehoshaphat/Hezekiah/Josiah)

(1) Self-purification = Levites / High Priest

Prepared to sacrifice most, not NATO, stand alone before God

(2) Temple purification = Altar / Holy Place / Most Holy Place

(i) Altar

Check your whole self as a living sacrifice, giving not an entrance fee

(ii) Holy Place

No things of the heart

(iii) Most Holy Place

Individual

The Lord convicts you and you convict the Lord

Desire to pray <- seeing the need to pray

Family

Help out, play with family after ministry

Church

Peace offering (Reconciliation with God -

Sin offering (Heart without accusations)

Restitution offering (Original + 20%) - protection

(4) Passover (Born again) <Chapter 30>

Assurance: heard, believed, called

Mystery: Died, Buried, Resurrected with Christ

Purpose: RSYRJG

Method

(5) Offerings (Tithes = Whole life) -> all things prosper / abundance / management <Chapter 31>

-> Full-time ministers for every area of ministry

(6) Battle -> Totally victorious = double blessedness <Chapter 32>

(7) Sanctification (Pride -> Humbleness)

What is your greatest wish every time you come for this meeting? We come here to receive evidences that the word of God can materialize into our very lives. This is called healing and this is restoring what is normal of our lives. Saints are called saints because they have this hope. The greed in our spiritual lives must be present - greed to be able to influence people around, to be healed, to have evangelism doors opened, etc.

The Lord loves us. Our times are very precious. From this time forward, I make resolution again that there is not a meeting where I lead without knowing what is going on. Lord, give me wisdom to know how to bless my family. Lord, I bring all my life to ask of this. During this meeting, He loves me even more to reveal Himself to me. When you see that the Lord loves you and our loved ones during this meeting, we have a chemical reaction with the Lord in our relationship. I will pray continually after meeting those who come to meetings with hungering spirit and the Lord gives evidences. From receiving evidences, you will desire to come for meeting more. Check yourself whether you desire to go for your work more and more, or whether you desire to go home more and more, as such are evidences that you are blessed more and more in that area. Being able to manage our souls and other things will come to us in power.

These few weeks, our Sunday messages continually speak about the end times. No matter whether we like it or not, we can only bring an image (uprightness, blessedness) that the Lord sees of us to go back to the Lord. The second thing that we can bring back to be with the Lord is our relationships with one another through the fellowship we have. This is in Psalm 133, "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!" The prayers for one another in the midst of sufferings and joy are what we bring also to our fields. We must really check ourselves or we will be like those doing religious worship in the Buddhist temples, so that we receive nothing after that. I have a very holy relationship with my wife. The Samaritan woman did not want to talk so much to Jesus but Jesus desired a holy relationship with her so that He wanted to speak valuable words to her. This is how our evangelism doors open. This is not learnt, but this comes naturally. Before even speaking, the person is already receptive because of the interest in his life to make the relationship a holy one. When you think of Qiufen, Wengang, Zhiming, Patrick, or anyone, what will they think of you? You can check this yourself, and you will know how much crowns you have. I use this image to pray for you all. When I am with you, I continually receive convictions. I bring all these convictions back and I tidy them up when I go home. Though some of us may not be that joyful in the past, I see how they have changed and my prayers for them are changed to be more joyful for them. As a shepherd, we must know how the spiritual conditions of other sheep have changed even though we are counting the treasury of the Lord or playing the piano. I know what is happening through my ears even though I may be behind a door. We must become spiritually sensitive to this extent. From how we judge our sheep here, we will be able to bring this wisdom to be able to judge people in the company and ask and speak the right words to them.

2 Chronicles Overview

There is no exception that our problems have a core reason. It cannot be that there are people in the world that are joyful and peaceful without having a heart that seeks to know, grasp and receive the truth. We just consider and we know that they cannot be joyful because they do not know how they are going to face eternity. The enemies are already at their gates and it is just a matter of time that problems will come to them.

Who are the enemies of Israel? They are not those who give you trouble in your life. Behind them are the forces of darkness. Till the judgment day so that Jesus Christ comes again, we will definitely be under the influence of the evil one. It does not mean that if we are blessed in the morning, we will be blessed in our hearts in the afternoon. If we feel okay only because we can test and approve the Lord's will yesterday but we cannot test and approve the Lord's perfect will now, Satan will just come in. We must be watchful, continue to preserve the heart and mind, and know where Satan is coming in. Then we can receive very clear evidences. Therefore, every time we come for the meeting, we must preserve our hearts and minds as we come. Otherwise, this will affect our next meeting. When your heart has become cold, it is very difficult to melt it again. If it is burning with fire, we must continue not to let the fire be extinguished such that the icy heart forms.

1. Solomon who inherited David (Principle of Success) <1:1-9:31>

1) Wisdom (Perfect will)

If you know the direction of where the Lord is going to, you will know roughly the perfect will of the Lord. I put it in my heart those who are weak recently. However, I discover that the perfect will of the Lord exceeds all these things. I do not fear even when people leave or slander me. The life content of the saint is a lot of perfect will(s).

2) Build the temple (format): Life operating system, Living operating system

If you know the perfect will of the Lord, you will no longer fear anything, even financial problems. However, you must build the temple so that you are protected. With the temple, you learn one lesson after another. One of the lessons may be the lack of money at that one moment, but it is also the time for testifying the Lord to the others.

The life of a saint is like a computer program. Whatever code you place in it will give you all the actions you have.

3) Offer sacrifice (converse with God)

If you have a good program within you, you can react correctly to all sorts of environmental inputs. However, if you do not have a good program, once a virus enters, you fall. King David was discouraged, but once he prayed, he could receive courage and go to battle immediately with the blessing of the Lord. This was because his temple was built up well.

We Christians do not use courage. If we do not see the troops of the Lord but see the troops behind the Red Sea chasing us, we will definitely fear. Some blessed people can be sad at a moment, but you see them stand up from discouragements the next moment. They are changed through prayer.

* 4) Fulfillments (Evidences)

Our fulfillments come from clearer and clearer wisdom, building of the temple and offering of sacrifices.

* 5) Testimony

Do we need to become the company's CEO in order to be able to testify the Lord? Of course, you can also say that. The people of the world also have evidences but these are just outcome of putting effort to study well, to work well and please their superiors. Some of them do not have morals, but saints have because they have life.

I discover that the evangelism doors of some of our brothers and sisters are not opened because you do not have God-driven joy, assurance and authority. Before you start the battle, you have lost your heart. You may have a few doors here and there, but they do not continually grow/expand spiritually. This is because we are not that practical. Of course, we go to work by proclaiming "glorifying God, benefiting men and building the kingdom". However, what are your prayer topics for the day? The prayers to ask the Lord to bless our wives or loved ones are correct. However, if your prayers are continually this same yesterday and today, you will lose convictions. Your prayers must become more and more practical. When I see that my children love my wife's instruction to them, I will know what to pray for her so that she can receive more wisdom to instruct them. Some saints only have beautiful words in their prayers, but if their prayers are not becoming more and more practical, their prayers will not be fulfilled. When my parents undergo an operation, or frequently go for tours, I will know how to pray for them.

2. The Successes and Failures of 20 Kings

1) The Nation Split and Continually Failed¡ Why?

Let us read the father of Hezekiah, King Ahaz.

Passage Reading: 2 Chronicles 28

1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD.

The number of years when you are registered to become a certain position is very important. This is what will be recorded in your book of life. Ahaz reigned for 16 years. This means he only lived till 36 years old. This is really not a blessed life.

2 He walked in the ways of the kings of Israel and also made cast idols for worshiping the Baals.

Ahaz lived a life of religion and not gospel.

3 He burned sacrifices in the Valley of Ben Hinnom and sacrificed his sons in the fire, following the detestable ways of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites. 4 He offered sacrifices and burned incense at the high places, on the hilltops and under every spreading tree.

Only 4 chapters and we know that Ahaz was not in the eyes of the Lord. If God writes such a record of your life, this is so pitiful!

 5 Therefore the LORD his God handed him over to the king of Aram. The Arameans defeated him and took many of his people as prisoners and brought them to Damascus.

      He was also given into the hands of the king of Israel, who inflicted heavy casualties on him.

This is really a very bad thing. Imagine that your own children are one day made to become slaves.

 16 At that time King Ahaz sent to the king [a] of Assyria for help. 17 The Edomites had again come and attacked Judah and carried away prisoners, 18 while the Philistines had raided towns in the foothills and in the Negev of Judah. They captured and occupied Beth Shemesh, Aijalon and Gederoth, as well as Soco, Timnah and Gimzo, with their surrounding villages. 19 The LORD had humbled Judah because of Ahaz king of Israel, [b] for he had promoted wickedness in Judah and had been most unfaithful to the LORD. 20 Tiglath-Pileser [c] king of Assyria came to him, but he gave him trouble instead of help. 21 Ahaz took some of the things from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace and from the princes and presented them to the king of Assyria, but that did not help him.

 22 In his time of trouble King Ahaz became even more unfaithful to the LORD. 23 He offered sacrifices to the gods of Damascus, who had defeated him; for he thought, "Since the gods of the kings of Aram have helped them, I will sacrifice to them so they will help me." But they were his downfall and the downfall of all Israel.

Ahaz thought that the principles of the world could also help him. But they brought about his downfall and he lost all he had.

Ahaz

Personal failure

He feared lack in the life. When one loses the grace, he will see during his days on earth that his children have no love and are in disastrous state.

Family failure

Some people of the world may look peaceful with their families. They will definitely fail, but when will their failures come? It is when they meet someone really blessed. When they come near him, they will hear his words and get in touch with his life. The success given by evil spirits previously will be in battle with the words the blessed person gives them.

My cousin had always quarreled with me in the past regarding faith, but he has now been baptized. I always tell my aunt how to see the development of the gospel in my family.

If our parents worship idols, it does not matter. They are only wood or clay. It is because the idols block them from believing. When the power of the Lord comes (through you) - Lo! The disbelief will flee!

Church failure

The church must speak about the gospel. From how I see a preacher or hear his message, I will know how his members are like.

(1) Lose promise (no purpose, cannot see God)  -> (covenant) - honour, purpose, belonging

Some pastors only want to convenience themselves. Some messages are spoken because they wanted to drive a certain ministry, not because of the pure promise.

(2) Religion (Not Practical, Legalism/Ritualistic/Mysticism, Humanism)

Without promise, the church will go into religion. Therefore, the church only talks about the cleanliness of the church and the preservation of the equipments in the church. However, do we need to be clean? If we have promise, we may not even need to say so much about such things.

Orderliness is required for saints because these are works of belief. However, before works is the promise.

(3) No Power/Evidence = No Faith (Enemies, failed battles, no consecration)

I talked about this last week: cars are good, but the engine must be started first. I see a lot of saints carrying the car to live.

If your life does not have promise, how does God work? This is very important.

Yesterday, I went with Wengang to visit Weisheng and Jesslyn. He was a bit tired, but I could see that he already had peace in his eyes. He removed the idols in his family but his immediate problem is his firstborn William. I told him that God wants to use his firstborn to heal him, to receive power in his work and the family. God loves him and wants to give him everything, not only one success among all that the evil spirits can give. I could see in his eyes that he believed the moment I said this. Therefore I know that the power has come to him and the forces of darkness has left him right then.

The power of evangelism comes from your assurance and faith. I pray that you will receive anointing in this area.

(4) Assimilation with the world (compromise, marriage, worship idols) -> no God

I hear a message from Dr Charles Stanley, "America is a country minus God." These are blessed words. The world tells us that there is no God at all.

(5) Totally Failed (Discipline, Captured) = Individual's reason of failure / Family reason of failure / Church reason of failure

When one totally fails, the things that he does not wish to see or hear come to him.

2) Reformation Movement of Belief (Jehoshaphat/Hezekiah/Josiah)

Many are doing this reformation movement. This includes Stephen Tong and some charismatic leaders.

Passage Reading: 2 Chronicles 29:1-18

1 Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Abijah daughter of Zechariah.

Zechariah was the son of Jehoiada the priest <2Ch 24:20>. Hezekiah's mother was the daughter of Zechariah. She must have passed down important instructions of the Lord to him.

2 He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.

3 In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the temple of the LORD and repaired them. 4 He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side 5 and said: "Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the LORD, the God of your fathers. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary. 6 Our fathers were unfaithful; they did evil in the eyes of the LORD our God and forsook him. They turned their faces away from the LORD's dwelling place and turned their backs on him. 7 They also shut the doors of the portico and put out the lamps. They did not burn incense or present any burnt offerings at the sanctuary to the God of Israel.

Many churches shut the doors of the portico (in the "Courtyard" or "Altar") by only talking about laws and mystical things. The lamp (in "The Holy Place") represented the word of God that continued to shine onto all believers. When saints burn incense, this means that they continue to pray and reach the Lord. The incense ("The Most Holy Place") must not be put out and shall continually reach to God.

8 Therefore, the anger of the LORD has fallen on Judah and Jerusalem; he has made them an object of dread and horror and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes. 9 This is why our fathers have fallen by the sword and why our sons and daughters and our wives are in captivity.

We can see in his father's time.

10 Now I intend to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger will turn away from us.

No matter what your situations are right now, if you only come to the Lord and make covenant with your whole life, His wrath will leave you!

11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before him and serve him, to minister before him and to burn incense."

Those who have heard the word of the Lord, they know the perfect will of the Lord is to immediately believe.

 12 Then these Levites set to work:

      from the Kohathites,

       Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah;

      from the Merarites,

       Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel;

      from the Gershonites,

       Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah;

 13 from the descendants of Elizaphan,

       Shimri and Jeiel;

      from the descendants of Asaph,

       Zechariah and Mattaniah;

 14 from the descendants of Heman,

       Jehiel and Shimei;

      from the descendants of Jeduthun,

       Shemaiah and Uzziel.

 15 When they had assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves, they went in to purify the temple of the LORD, as the king had ordered, following the word of the LORD. 16 The priests went into the sanctuary of the LORD to purify it. They brought out to the courtyard of the LORD's temple everything unclean that they found in the temple of the LORD. The Levites took it and carried it out to the Kidron Valley. 17 They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and by the eighth day of the month they reached the portico of the LORD. For eight more days they consecrated the temple of the LORD itself, finishing on the sixteenth day of the first month.

 18 Then they went in to King Hezekiah and reported: "We have purified the entire temple of the LORD, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table for setting out the consecrated bread, with all its articles.

(1) Self-purification = Levites / High Priest

The most important thing in the Reformation is the self-cleansing of the high priest or Levites. If you are the high priest of the family, cleanse and purify yourself. For the church, the pastor must first cleanse himself, then followed by the deacons.

I told my wife one day, "Our sacrifice, offering and giving up for the church shall be greater than any of our brothers and sisters. If not, we are really not worthy to stand on the pulpit." The small group leader must cleanse his own self so that all of his group members can see.

In my shepherding, I teach, but I do not impose. We just continue to pray and bless the family, but we do not require their response. Christians must not be NATO (no action talk only). I like Christians who are quiet in their doings to the Lord. We can see their interests and concerns are towards the Lord and the brothers and sisters. When I see such a person wishing to bless others, I know that he is self-cleansing. When you have a pure heart to seek after the Lord even when brothers and sisters are naughty, God will work. Therefore, when such things happen, stand before the Lord all the more.

(2) Temple purification = Altar / Holy Place / Most Holy Place

(i) Altar

We must bring out the things from within the altar and purify it. Let nothing be dirty. When we offer our money, this must not become an entrance fee. Put in all your prayers with it!

(ii) Holy Place

Do not put the things of your heart into your soul.

(iii) Most Holy Place

If you purify your spirit, everything of your holy place and altar will be cleansed.

Individual

When you come before the Lord with all your life, and you convict the Lord and the Lord convicts you, there will be no problems that will affect you.

What will cause me to pray? Yes, we have scheduled prayers. But when does our heart desire to pray very much? This is when our heart sees the need to pray. Do we have such a heart, "If my heart is not joyful, how can I meet people?"

Family

I also help out with my wife. If the children suddenly wake up in the middle of the heart, whoever hears them first will attend. After doing my work, I will not do things of rubbish but will come out to play with my children.

Church

Passage Reading: 2 Chronicles 29:31-36

 31 Then Hezekiah said, "You have now dedicated yourselves to the LORD. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the temple of the LORD." So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings.

 32 The number of burnt offerings the assembly brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams and two hundred male lambs¡ªall of them for burnt offerings to the LORD. 33 The animals consecrated as sacrifices amounted to six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep and goats.

Why are there so many different types of animals? It may be that the bulls represent the stubborn hearts of some, and the blurry life of lambs. We must offer and kill all of such as sacrifices.

34 The priests, however, were too few to skin all the burnt offerings; so their kinsmen the Levites helped them until the task was finished and until other priests had been consecrated, for the Levites had been more conscientious in consecrating themselves than the priests had been.

The priests went to work at McDonald's, become insurance agents and property agents! The church slowly does not give tithes and thus they need to earn.

It is a trend now that pastors are tent-makers. However, if the church can support, they should go full-time. The brothers and sisters of the church will see the holiness, consecration and importance. The prayers will be strong.

35 There were burnt offerings in abundance, together with the fat of the fellowship offerings [a] and the drink offerings that accompanied the burnt offerings.

      So the service of the temple of the LORD was reestablished. 36 Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

Some pastors are given money very tightly. Once, I heard that a pastor does not have enough for living and asked the elders for more. The elders were like a board of directors looking at his performance! A person who grows up will want to be an elder instead of a pastor, who can serve and be successful in life. I know why Stephen Tong is so upset with the traditional church. He attacks the Charismatics but is also upset with the traditional church he is in.

(3) Offer 5 sacrifices / restore worship (Converse with God)

The mystery of Leviticus: Bring 5 offerings; Jesus Christ (High Priest), Most Holy Place, Morning and Evening, 3 Festivals

Burnt offering (Born again)

Grain offering (Thanksgiving)

Peace offering (Reconciliation with God)

Sin offering (Heart without accusations)

If we come before the Lord with a heart without accusations, He will forgive us of all our sins)

Restitution offering (Original + 20%) - Protection

20% is for us to hold with importance so we do not dare to sin again.

(4) Passover (Born again) <Chapter 30>

Our church talks most about born again. Our message starts with the angle and assurance of born again.

Assurance: heard, believed, called

Our assurance does not come from evidence. Even if there is none, our assurance comes from how the Lord has chosen us.

Mystery: Died, Buried, Resurrected with Christ

This means that your interests, views/perspective, and concerns shall all die, put in burial, and God's things to relive. In the past, you live your own ways in tackling your family, etc, but now, you use the method from God.

Purpose: RSYRJG

Method

Some people only know purpose and run for it. We must know the method in this purpose every day.

Passage Reading: Chapter 30:1-27

1 Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to come to the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel. 2 The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate the Passover in the second month. 3 They had not been able to celebrate it at the regular time because not enough priests had consecrated themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem. 4 The plan seemed right both to the king and to the whole assembly. 5 They decided to send a proclamation throughout Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, calling the people to come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel. It had not been celebrated in large numbers according to what was written.

 6 At the king's command, couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and from his officials, which read:

       "People of Israel, return to the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that he may return to you who are left, who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 7 Do not be like your fathers and brothers, who were unfaithful to the LORD, the God of their fathers, so that he made them an object of horror, as you see. 8 Do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; submit to the LORD. Come to the sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

We must never be stiff-necked!

9 If you return to the LORD, then your brothers and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will come back to this land, for the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him."

 10 The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but the people scorned and ridiculed them. 11 Nevertheless, some men of Asher, Manasseh and Zebulun humbled themselves and went to Jerusalem.

There will still be humble people around.

12 Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the LORD.

They did the Passover...

 23 The whole assembly then agreed to celebrate the festival seven more days; so for another seven days they celebrated joyfully.

... but reformation was like this: they wanted more.

24 Hezekiah king of Judah provided a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep and goats for the assembly, and the officials provided them with a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep and goats. A great number of priests consecrated themselves. 25 The entire assembly of Judah rejoiced, along with the priests and Levites and all who had assembled from Israel, including the aliens who had come from Israel and those who lived in Judah. 26 There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem. 27 The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.

Therefore, those who do according to the method of the Lord, the Lord will listen and accomplish. Remember the Passover where the blood was smeared on the door-frames? "Lord, the failures of my marriage and career are really small matters in your sight compared to the salvation from the Lord." This is the heart of the Passover. Money? "Lord, why is my life so cheap?" Those who do Passover will never consider this even for a while or be bounded by his doings.

Charismatics who do not know about the system of the spirit, only shout and talk.

(5) Offerings (Tithes = Whole life) -> all things prosper / abundance / management <Chapter 31>

I believe that in 10 years' time, many of us will be full-time ministers. I went to Korea University ministry. The assistant pastor was married to Esther months later. He led the hymns so differently. The full-time ministers that have touched lives by shepherding before will do things differently. We require such type of reformation!

(6) Battle -> Totally victorious = double blessedness <Chapter 32>

The Assyrians were defeated and even the king was killed by his own sons.

The Assyrians came for a reason, so that Judah, after having gone through reformation, could be used by the Lord to remove the evilness in that very era.

(7) Sanctification (Pride -> Humbleness)

The Lord did not actually want to kill Hezekiah. If you become a person like Hezekiah, who was disciplined and hence protected by the Lord because he became proud, just be comforted that you are one who must be blessed no matter what.
