Bible Overview till 1 Kings - Just Make Covenant With The Vein Of The Bible And You Can Be Bold Ahead

 

We must not put our efforts on any other but on seeing GodÕs love to us. Those who can see this are blessed and their tomorrows will definitely be good. Though this is only one simple concept, there is a great mystery in this because it joins together everything that happened in the past, present and the future. Therefore, such a person will be able to expect greatly in the future and good things will surely come to him. This is the mystery itself where one is able to see good things, and where one can always see good things.

 

God has never changed from the creation of the world till now. What changes is our heart. This is the very reason why we become powerless. GodÕs love never changes. We fear God and fear the future because we have changed. GodÕs righteousness, providence and abundance have never changed at all. (The reason why we change is because of spiritual problems.) This is the most important living principle while we are still on earth. If we cannot see this, our days on earth will be more and more tiring.

 

Hear the Spirit to receive a strong and courageous heart. The change after prayer happens because we have heard the perfect will of God during prayer. Having heard the voice of God, you will be courageous when you submit and hand everything over to God. This is the mystery that we must learn throughout our whole life.

 

The purpose we are to live our personal life, with our family, as a couple, with children, at work, with relatives and friends is to know God. We are to learn how to see the Emmanuel God who is always with us and has never left us. God is Spirit. Therefore, only that we hear the Spirit will we be able to see and rely on the Spirit, and acquire His perfect will. If we have acquired the perfect will, there is no need to be anxious. But if we have received the perfect will, when problems come, they become our joy, expectation and hope. Then we will be able to strengthen others. The little things may come and affect our loved ones, but that problem can bless many others. This is being strong and courageous.

 

God is Spirit. God is the Word. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through the intention in the Word, the universe and the world were created. We have this Bible Overview series to acquire this Word. The bible is not an ordinary book, but it is a Personality. God is Word and is a Person. If you are saved, God as a Person comes in; He cannot leave and He lives in you. His perfect will lives in us. If His Word lives with us, the desires and the requests in us are themselves the perfect will of God, and they are accomplished <Jn 15:7>. GodÕs word has a mystery. It has a vein, a blood artery, and has hormones that move around. GodÕs word has breath, and is living and active. Therefore, if we often hear and consider it, it penetrates even to the extent of dividing our soul and spirit, joints and marrow, such that it commands our hearts and minds to change. When our hearts and minds change, our perspective, judgments, speech and actions will all be changed <Heb 4:12>. This power is living.

 

As we are going to start our 2 Kings, let us revise through the Bible Overview. This will be good for the sake of our brothers who have not been with us all the while for Bible Overview series, and for us to quickly join up together. The word of God is living and active. Those who have acquired the bible are with no problems. No matter what situations we are in, we will be able to have freedom, hope, love, boldness, and enjoy the abundance of God.

 

 

Bible Overview

 

1) Vein

 

Bible has life. It has 2 main characters:

(1) Jesus Christ - Head

(2) Me - Body, Church

The bible has Personality, and has a vein. It consists of the Old Testament and the New Testament, a book of covenant. This promise flows from Abel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Apostles, Paul, the Church, and now to us. There is a vein in the covenant. Without this vein, we will not be able to make a covenant with God, and we will not know if we are blessed. Non-believers may seem better than me, but through this vein, we can acquire the assurance of our blessedness. He who has acquired this vein, his life is living. Then he will be able to see God through all things. If a person is not able to join up, it is as if a breakfast meal is taken just by himself alone even though God is with him and eats with him. However, if he has the vein, God eats with him, meaning that he is taking in GodÕs love and therefore has the power to accomplish this covenant. He will be able to see God even in the simplest things. The most discerning difference of Gospel and Religion is highlighted here.

 

2) Purpose: glorify God, benefit people, and build the kingdom, gospelization

 

The bible has a purpose. It tells Jesus Christ to glorify God, benefit people, and build the kingdom, and also tells me to glorify God, benefit people, and build the kingdom. It is the way of cults if we say that God created the world so that we can all have peace, unite, and build a kingdom together. God temporarily created the three-dimensional world to gather His people, sanctify them, tell them to serve, give them crown, and then bring them to the eternal kingdom. There is only one purpose and this is called gospelization. There is individual gospelization, family gospelization, regional gospelization, and world gospelization. We will be able to acquire His perfect will very quickly in all things by understanding this. Why do we come here today for this training? The moment we acquire this purpose, we will receive individual gospelization. We receive power here, acquire a strong and courageous heart, and we go home to influence family. We see the perfect will of God immediately for attending this training here. GodÕs word has purpose and direction.

 

3) Spiritual

 

The bible tells us how the kingdom is in my hearts and minds, how it descends on my family, and tells me how the movement of things in my times. Explaining the Spirit and angels, it tells how my heart operates.

 

4) Main, secondary

 

Those who do not know about the main things and the secondary things will change the bible into one that is similar to Buddhist scriptures. The bible does not only talk about good deeds. If one does not know about the main things and the secondary things, he will not be able to do good deeds at all (good deeds are good only if God says so). Good deeds are done only when man receives life and does it by the Holy SpiritÕs conviction. Righteous deeds cannot be done by manÕs thinking, moral ethics, efforts, and they are done from the intentions of man. They are all not good works since all are under the prince of the air and the control of Satan. Therefore, God tells us that we must first receive the life of the child of God, to first receive life, so that we can then be sanctified. There is no sanctification if one does not receive life. Then He tells us to serve Him and receive fruits.

 

 

Old Testament and New Testament

 

The Old Testament has 4 parts:

1) Books of the Law - 5 books

2) Books of History - 12

3) Books of Prophets - 17

4) Books of Psalms - 5

There are a total of 39 books.

 

The New Testament has 3 parts

1) 4 gospels - What Jesus Christ talks Himself

2) Acts - Apostles and the Church, expansion till ends of the world

3) Epistles - Through every church established by the apostles, how each church is built up

 

The bible is living. Therefore we must join together.

 

1) Books of the Law = Books of Promise/Covenant: IsraelÕs principle

 

The most important is Books of the Law. In the past, Israel had only this book. In DavidÕs time, the bible was just the Books of the Law. Inside these books, they have all the content of the perfect will of God and the prophecies. If this is grasped, the bible contents will be clear. If not, the bible is very muddled indeed. I often discover that even if one knows Jesus Christ from the 4 gospel books, even memorizing the contents, he will hear, explain and apply it wrongly on himself and his children. All the content of even the gospel books will become law like that used by the Pharisees. The ÒBooks of the LawÓ is the Òbooks of PromiseÓ. They are the books of the Covenant. It is impossible to understand the gospel books or the whole bible if these books are not understood. The Books of the Law is the most important, and is the shrink-down version of the whole bible. From here, everything expands out.

2) Books of History: IsraelÕs success and failure

 

Those who do not know the Books of the Law will not know the Books of History. The Books of History talks about success and failure. Those who accord to the Books of the Law will be successful. Those who do not accord to the Books of the Law, even if they acquire a lot of wealth, (do not admire, because) their wealth are themselves curses. The Books of the Law is the barometer for measuring success and failure. The Books of History is the accomplishment of Books of the Law.

 

3) Books of Prophets: IsraelÕs hope

 

The Books of Prophets talks about IsraelÕs future. IsraelÕs future is eternally guaranteed. However, there is discipline. The contents always emphasize blessings and curses, the sure content of Deuteronomy Chapter 28. 6 tribes pronounced blessings on Mount Gerizim and 6 tribes pronounced curses on Mount Ebal.

 

4) Books of Psalms: IsraelÕs evangelism

 

The Books of Psalms are the testimonies of the accomplishments of Israel. It is the content of IsraelÕs evangelism. Especially in the ÒSongs of SongsÓ, it is the love between Jesus and Israel. The Psalms is about salvation, sanctification, victory, crown, and eternal hope. Proverbs and Ecclesiastes is the wisdom of Israel, where Solomon was able to attract everyone, including the Queen of the south. It is this wisdom that we can attract our children, colleagues, and even the president.

 

5) Four Gospels

 

All the Old Testament talks about one Person Jesus Christ. He is the Great Prophet, Great Priest, and Great King. If anyone reads the bible but does not know the content, he is still dead and not alive.

 

Books of the Law => Great Priest Jesus Christ: Therefore, the books of the Law tell us to know what sin is, and how to make sacrifices (Leviticus).

Books of History => Great King Jesus Christ

Books of Prophets => Great Prophet Jesus Christ

 

Books of Prophets => Great Prophet Jesus Christ

 

Jesus Christ told everyone who God is, who we are, and our future. Through the Great Prophet Jesus Christ, we will know everything. God came down to the earth and this tells us to exclaim and faint, ÒHe is the same as me!Ó We also use this body, the temple God to have the views of history, world, values, life philosophy, future, kingdom, serving, spiritual, Holy Spirit, etc. If we have such a view, we are ÒTodayÕs JesusÓ. He solves all our problems of eternality and restores our inheritance eternally of us, the new creation. Jesus Christ was the incarnation (Word became flesh) telling us about the invisible God.

 

Books of the Law => Great Priest Jesus Christ

 

Great Priest Jesus Christ solved all problems of man, and all my problems. Especially climaxing at the cross, Jesus died, was buried and was resurrected so that He had dominion over all on the throne.

 

Books of History => Great King Jesus Christ

 

Jesus Christ has dominion on the throne, having dominion on all corners of our family, our children future, and all our future. Through this, in prayer, we immediately receive freedom, and can proclaim that our days tomorrow will definitely be good.

 

=> We must really understand the Jesus Christ that is alive, through Jesus Christ and what He left behind. There are 12 tribes of Israel (AbrahamÕs descendants), and 12 apostles. They formed the 24 elders in the heavens as spoken in Revelations. The work of the apostles is called Acts.

 

6) Acts

 

Through all that Jesus Christ said, God accomplished. Praise God! In <Acts 2>, Peter stood up and said and quoted <Joel 2:28-32>, ÒWe are not drunk, but God says that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit on His servants, men and women. The Jesus Christ you hung on the cross is the main character from Genesis to Revelations. Do you know this?Ó The people heard, were cut to their hearts, repented and were baptized. They received the same promise of God, the Holy Spirit. From then on, their convictions were different. Similar to us, they therefore broke bread in the temple, at home, and praised GodÕs works daily with the same hearts. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. From here, the same things were done in Jerusalem, Samaria, and all Judea. In Judea, Antioch church was raised. Through Antioch church, small Asia was raised. Then, Macedonia did the same things, too. In Ephesus, there was discipleship training in Tyrannus lecture hall for 2 years 3 months, and the region was entirely changed. Then through Paul, the power of the gospel came to Rome. At Rome, Paul taught for 2 years, and it became a Christian country. The content of Acts is where the principles of the individual living, family living, reason for doing work, and church living are repeated. Through such, the church is established.

 

The church = Israel = me. Therefore

 

7) Church Epistles

 

(1) Church foundation = Gospel: Romans, Galatians, Hebrews

 

(2) Church Person: Head: Colossians, Body: Ephesians

 

The church is living. The Person is alive. The church is living and has veins opened up. The church has a Head and a Body. In Colossians, Jesus Christ is the Head, so that in all things, He has supremacy. All history is hidden in Him. Ephesians is about the Body of Christ and He, the One who fills all creation in all, is with the church. How great is the hope, glorious and abundant inheritance, and how great the power has come from throne till the church.

 

=> A living Person must eat, drink and grow up, therefore:

 

(3) Church Growth/ Church Shepherding: 1Co, 2Co, 1Ti, 2Ti, Titus

 

The books tell about the process of shepherding.

 

=> The purpose is for sanctification, therefore:

 

(4) Church set apart: 2Th, 2Jn, 3Jn, 2Pe, Jude

 

The church has to be set apart from cults and Gentiles, but especially from cults. This is even worse than the views of the world. The church must be set apart from the world.

 

=> With sanctification, then there will be many testimonies of the church:

 

(5) Church Testimony (Testimonies of Victory): Php, Phm, 1Th, 1Jn, James

 

In Philippians, ÒI treat knowing my Lord Christ Jesus as surpassing great preciousnessÓ, ÒI can do everything through him who gives me strengthÓ, ÒI know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secretÓ, ÒThis secret is where through Christ Jesus, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, can guard my heart and mindÓ, ÒTherefore do not worry for me. Though I am in the prison, all that has happened to me has served to advance the gospelÓ. In Philemon, ÒOriginally a thief, Onesimus became useful to Paul. It is not by PaulÕs life but he is changed by the gospel. Through Christ and His conviction, a pirate became a preacher.Ó 1 Thessalonians, ÒDonÕt fear. In sufferings, do not fear but be victorious.Ó In 1 John, ÒGod is love. If you have not seen GodÕs love, you have not known God. In love, there is no fear. Love accomplishes everything and covers all sins.Ó In James, ÒIf you only believe it in your head, that is not believing. Therefore, there must be works. Believing and works must often accompany each other.Ó This does not talk about righteousness by works, but that real belief will bring works.

 

(6) Church future: Revelations

 

This is the prophecy of the church. The saints know the future that they are going to live. By knowing the state of the heart now, one will know how the family will turn to in future.

 

 

The Bible is alive.

 

The most important Head is the Book of the Law.

 

 

Genesis Overview

 

Most important is the book of Genesis. Genesis can be said to be a miniature version of the whole bible. All the content of the bible is hidden in Genesis. It is not a myth as what many say. All the 50 chapters of Genesis talk about Christ and His Body and this is Abraham. Even in Isaac, Jacob and Joseph flowed the DNA of Abraham. <Gen 1-11> is the situation around which Abraham was called. <Gen 12-50> is the accomplishment.

 

There are 4 mysteries to which Abraham is called. The most important is

 

1) Four Mysteries Background

 

(1) <Gen 1-2> Creation: Principle

 

Actually, all religions also believe in creation. Those who believe in gods will believe in creation because god is supposed to do this. However, the important thing that is displayed here is the Principle! This is the principle of how my life will acquire peace, rest, abundance and power. There is no use if we have a lot of knowledge on the details of what is created from the first day till the sixth. The principle is that the word of God causes omnipotent power, abundance and love to descend upon us. There is a principle that fishes are created, that they must live in water. Trees must be rooted in the soil. This is because God created them this way. Man must rely on the word of God and His Spirit. Man is Spirit. The reason is because God created this way.

 

(2) <Gen 3> Problem, Answer

 

However, immediately in the history of mankind, problems came on the first day. Satan fell before man fell <Rev 12>. Man has not gone through Satan and the mystery of the cross, therefore having no power to overcome, he is deceived and fell. God allows this temporarily, because later, He prepared something even better. ManÕs problem is that he became flesh, lost GodÕs word and His Spirit. Is our day today carnal or spiritual? Man must preserve this mystery if he is to be a normal person. This happens the moment Man loses the word of God and the conviction of His Spirit. If Man does things by his efforts or by the thought of what is righteous and what is evil, it is called sin. Anything that is not done according to the will of God is sin. Finally, behind all these is Satan. He is the Liar, the old serpent.

 

The answer comes together with problem. If a door has a lock, there is surely a key. Man does not go about finding a lock only. If there is a problem, there is surely an answer. ManÕs problem is not the problem of his spouse, finance, or even health. ManÕs problem is not even death as it is the best thing that can happen, as we saints wait our whole life for the very moment. ManÕs problem is that He cannot see GodÕs love, but the answer is in Jesus Christ. There are problems of <Gen 3:1-6> the spirit, <3:7-14> the heart, <3:16-19> our flesh, living, interpersonal relationships, descendants, and all things in life. However, there is an answer. In <Gen 3:15>, the seed of the woman, ÒAnd I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.Ó If this principle <creation> is lost <problem>, this answer is given.

 

Therefore, if we do not know Genesis, we will not know about the cross, our problems, and the problems in our heart, the problems of the world, and what we really need. With the principle of Genesis in view, Israel is therefore established as such.

 

(3) <Gen 6> Judgment: Flood, Ark

 

In the event of the flood, it does not matter whether animals are clean or unclean, or that Man has cleansed himself daily and does good deeds. If you are in the ark, you are saved, and not, if you are surely dead. This is called the ark transformation, which is another mystery. God told Noah to continue to prepare the ark.

 

After the flood, Noah came out of the ark. NoahÕs descendants began to build up their culture.

 

(4) <Gen 11> Tower of Babel

 

This is only humanism. God is not a Philanthropist or a God of universal love. God is a God who blesses those do righteously, and puts all to hell that do not. In the last days, Christians thought Christianity is about philanthropy, but this is actually the way of cults. We must be very careful about this. Christ is not about philanthropy or Universalism (universal salvation), but God chooses a small number of people to be the children of God. In the Tower of Babel, every corner of the world is against God. ÒLet us lift up our names and do not separate.Ó In <Gen 1:28> God says that Man must be fruitful and increase in number, and they must fill the earth and subdue it. God says that Man must continue to expand, but the Tower of Babel tells Man not to scatter. Therefore God confused Man and scattered them. In such a background, we must, ÒLeave our country, our people and our father's household.Ó

 

God told Abraham to leave his country (the culture of the Tower of Babel), his people (the bloodline who do not know God), and to leave his fatherÕs household (he has from birth learn things that do not know God). Tower of Babel is the world. Today, America, Europe, Asia, and China all talk about the culture of Tower of Babel.

 

2) <Gen 12-50> 4 people

 

(1) Abraham: born again and salvation mystery

 

(2) Isaac: the seed of promise

 

Isaac is blessed whether he comes in or goes out. He farmed for 1 year, and received harvest that can be eaten for 100 years. He dug in no specific manner, and reached a well of spring. Such blessings also apply to us. Even when we fall, the fall is a blessed one. Isaac was so muddle-headed such that though he was blind, he was blessed. The bible does not tell us to be muddle-headed. Because Isaac was muddle-headed, his two sons warred against each other.

 

(3) Jacob: sanctification

 

From birth, Jacob was overcome by greed, strived to always win, and was afraid of losing. He deceived in everything, and he was deceived his whole life. Before Pharaoh, he told him that his days are days of suffering. However, God still told Jacob to be sanctified so that he blessed Pharaoh and conquered the whole world.

 

(4) Joseph: conquest of the world

 

Joseph had no problems from young. Even amidst trials and the weaknesses of his brothers, he did not waver from the vision. After receiving 2 dreams, sufferings came. But sufferings were meant to open doors for him. He had to leave home. If he stayed with his brothers, his concerns would follow that of his brothers - what to eat, what to watch on TV, etc. God told Joseph to leave his family and the method was persecution from his brothers. The bible specifically said that there was no water in hole Joseph was thrown in. This means that God arranged this. Joseph went down to Egypt and he met PharaohÕs captain of the guard. PotipharÕs wife tempted him daily. Through this, he was even accused and he was thrown into prison. Joseph was now no more afraid because he was one step closer to enter the palace. Joseph learnt economics from a small boy from a small family in PotipharÕs family. The prison he entered was a prison where political figures entered. There, he learnt politics. Till the age of 30 years, one could not take up any political position. For the sake of Joseph, God gave a dream to Pharaoh. There were 7 years of famines and these were for Joseph. Joseph was the representative of Israel, and all 75 (what?) were saved through him. Israel came to Egypt. When they came to Egypt, they lived in the best of lands. However, in Egypt, there arose a Pharaoh who did not know Joseph. Israel had lost the promise and the vision to enter Canaan. They became slaves. The character Joseph tells us to conquer the whole world. This is what Israel should do. The whole era exists for us.

 

This is the whole content of Genesis. If we do not know Genesis, we will not know the entire bible.

 

The Bible has life. In Gen 3:15 the seed of the woman Jesus Christ was revealed. From since ÒI know Jesus ChristÓ, 2 peoples came out and these were Abel and Cain. Some says that Cain sacrificed too any-o-how. How can this be true? The sacrifice that Abel did had life, but CainÕs sacrifice has no life. There is the mystery of dying and resurrecting with Jesus Christ in this. Therefore, Israel or church is born. Therefore, ÒI am AbrahamÓ. God found him out and told him very important words. Today, we must not only believe but must also confirm. These words are, ÒI will definitely bless you. I will definitely bless your family, children and descendants. The place you are now will all be given to you and your descendants. You will bless this region. Originally, the region was invested with idols. However, GodÕs glory will come. All people and nations will be blessed through you. You are the source of all blessings. If we know this but are unable to see this in our family, this is our problem. If this is really true, my children are a blessing. My family happenings and all the problems in it are blessings. We must practically believe and confirm. Therefore, this is what our church has fixed:

 

1) Individual gospelization: Born again, sanctification, acquire eternal crown / inheritance/ fruits/ serving


2) Family gospelization: For thousands of generations, pass down this promise

 

3) Regional gospelization: Coworkers must always fight together for regional gospelization. There were 318 warriors fighting with Abraham. This is the church. Our Christian life church is established with a few families. This is really serious. Through our co-working, our internet ministry has reached Penang. There were only 4 years and this happened.

 

4) World gospelization: For each region, there are the same workers, families, and church

 

Genesis talks about the 4 gospelizations. Through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Joseph, all 4 gospelizations are accomplished.

 

 

Exodus: 5 mysteries

 

The promise given to Abraham was lost after 400 years and Israel became slaves. When the time was ripe, God accomplished through one blessed person, Moses. To emphasize the importance of the 5 mysteries, God used 5 great miraculous signs. We must know that there are no miracles in the bible, but God used miraculous signs for emphasis.

 

1) Passover

 

Out of 10 plaques, only the blood of the Lamb that was painted on the sides and tops of the doorframes enabled Israel to exit Egypt.

 

2) Cross Red Sea

 

After Israel exited Egypt, Israel faced with the worst risk. The forces of Pharaoh were behind and the Red Sea was in front. Here, the message is that we already have victory. Problems are not problems but are blessings. When will victory come? When we are still and see. Actually, saints do not need to do anything, but it is also not about doing nothing. Saints are to be still to see what God is doing, then they follow and do. This is called Baptism. Be still and see is Òdie and resurrectÓ. It is about dying our intentions, purpose and method to restore GodÕs purpose, motives and content. Therefore under the pillar of cloud, Israel crossed the Red Sea. This is called water baptism. Therefore, be victorious in all things. No matter whether in lack or in abundance, there is a secret. Christians should be like this.

 

3) Tabernacle

 

After crossing the Red Sea, Moses went up the Mount Sinai. He went up to acquire the perfect will of God, the 10 commandments, anointed the high priest. This is all for establishing the tabernacle.

 

4) Wilderness: Evidence

 

Every day we will surely have problems. I have a lot of problems. Maybe you all are simpler. Of course, the problems start from the desires of my flesh. It can come from my wife, children, news from the church and everywhere. If I do not know the mystery of walking with God, I will definitely go to the mental hospital.

 

5) Conquer Canaan

 

Therefore, one who acquires the 4 gospelizations of Abraham and the 5 mysteries will be victorious in everything. Our prayers must start from here.

(3) Tabernacle => Give us today our daily bread, forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors = In prayers, we solve all problems with our spouse, children, and we use prayer to judge and do all things

 

(4) Wilderness => And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one = Every day we see evidences to live

 

(5) Conquer Canaan => For Yours is the kingdom, power and glory forever = Always, in all things, sing and make music in your heart in praises to the Lord, in season and out of season 24 hours = evangelism

 

 

Leviticus

 

Actually Genesis and Exodus have everything. But Leviticus speaks more clearly on the tabernacle. There are 5 mysteries in Leviticus.

 

1) 5 Offerings

 

2) High Priest

 

3) Most Holy Place

 

4) Every day, morning once, night once: scheduled prayers

 

5) 3 Festivals

 

If you know Leviticus, prayers will no longer be a sleeping pill, but they will become alive.



Numbers: Walk with God

 

In Numbers, Israel is in the wilderness. This is the mystery of walking with God.

 

1) Principle of walking with God

 

The principle of walking with God starts with the census of Israel (600 thousand), where I walk in the midst.

 

2) Life and living movement = Central to the tabernacle

 

My life is central to tabernacle, and my living moves when the tabernacle moves.

 

3) Inevitable challenges

 

There will surely be inevitable doubts and disbelief along the way. Israel will surely be tempted. This is inevitable. Disbelief and temptations come. Israel desired the beef noodles and meat back in the days of Egypt.

 

4) Sanctification

 

The people who should fall in the wilderness should fall. The old thoughts that we hold on will die after we go through sanctification through inevitable problems.

 

5) New generation

 

When the new generation was raised, Israel could then enter Canaan. Only those with faith, Joshua and Caleb, can enter.

 

 

Deuteronomy: fixed perspective

 

Israel now had the Abraham, Isaac and JacobÕs promise, and the 5 mysteries of Moses. However, in front of River Jordan, the new generation of Israel must have fixed perspective.

 

Meditate on His word day and night. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up <Dt 6:7>. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads <Dt 6:8>. You must teach all your children of this promise <Dt 6:7,20-25>. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength <Dt 6:5>. You must love your neighbours and confirm your very self.

 

There are 3 sermons of Moses here. How do we have fixed perspective?

 

1) History

 

How God led Israel from Abraham until now.

 

2) Decrees

 

Decrees are GodÕs perfect will. These are not laws - how to live a holy life, how to cleanse yourself from uncleanliness, how to offer sacrifices, etc. The decrees protect us from evil and from curses so that they may not reach us.

 

3) Prophecy

 

In Deuteronomy 27 and 28, 6 tribes proclaimed blessings on Mount Gerizim and 6 tribes proclaimed curses on Mount Ebal. These are the rewards and discipline.

 

Especially in <Dt 28:1-14>, you will be blessed when you come in and be blessed when you go out <Dt 28:6>. Everything will become a blessing when you put your hand on it <Dt 28:8>. But if you do not follow, suddenly, in <Dt 28:15-68>, you will be cursed when you come in and be cursed when you go out <Dt 28:19>. Locusts will come over the crops you planted <Dt 28:42>. There will be no revival.

 

4) Exchange of generations

 

Then Moses gave the new generation over to Joshua and Caleb.

 

* Fixed Perspective

 

In Joshua, Israel fought all the battles using fixed perspective, not by weapons. When they circled the city of Jericho, the ark was in front (fixed perspective). The trumpet was blown (evidence). There is GodÕs timetable for circling (circling the city once every day for the first 6 days, and 7 times for the seventh day, a total of 13 times). Then the city of Jericho fell. After that, the city of Ai fell. Then the Amorites were conquered. Finally, most importantly, Caleb conquered Mount Hebron. 7 races and 31 kings were conquered in all.

 

Similarly, the blessings in our families are received through our eyes. We will judge differently depending on how we look at our wives and our children. This will decide whether they will receive blessings or not. Whether in risk or not, if we are able to drive out evil spirits, the kingdom has already descended upon you. The ministry in church is done through our eyes. If we continue to suffer during ministry, we will not advance anything. This is why I think that we need at least 10 years. After 10 years, judgments on ministry and on people will be more correct. This is why I think we must change from 3 years to 10 years. In the 10 years that we are together, we may think back on the good things that we had in Egypt. We will experience a sheep here who farted, and another who farted in another way there. After we experienced this, we will understand the gospel. We may understand it in our minds, but when we see our familiesÕ problems, we fall.

 

 

Books of History

 

The Books of History are the reason of IsraelÕs success and failure. Those who hold on to the Books of the Law will be successful and if they do not hold on to them, they will not be successful.



Joshua

 

1) Fixed Perspective: Promise

 

Especially in <Jos 1:9>, ÒHave I not told you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.Ó ÒMy servant Moses has diedÓ <Jos 1:2>. ÒI have already given you every place where you set your footÓ <Jos 1:3>. Therefore, be strong and courageous <Jo 1:6>, for no one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life <Jos 1:5>. No problems in your family will win over you. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world <Jn 16:33>. Not by my strength, but by the power of my Jesus Christ. Therefore, do not let this Book of the Law (Moses 5 Books) depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night <Jos 1:8>. The ÒBook of the LawÓ is not laws, but they are all books of promises.

 

2) Evidence

 

In <Jos 3:1-17>, River Jordan turned back.

 

3) Conquest

 

With this evidence, in <Jos 6:1-27>, the city of Jericho was conquered. Similarly, the secret to conquering the region, our families and clans is through evidences. However, where do evidences come? Evidences come only when we have fixed perspective and the 5 Books of Moses. We need to know our history, our decrees and our future (Deuteronomy 3 points).

 

*Power of Prayer

 

In <Jos 10> , the sun stood still and the moon stopped. This is the power of prayer that conquered the land of Canaan.

 

4) Division of lands

 

In <Jos 14> especially, Caleb was already 85 years old, but he told Joshua, ÒI am eighty-five years old, but I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out. As Moses swore to me, 'The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedlyÕ, give me Mount Hebron for conquest.Ó In years to come, Hebron was to become the kingdom of David. For the land of Canaan, the best of lands are found in the area of Jerusalem and Hebron. We serve and walk together, but the rewards all of us are going to get are different. The 3 tribes who received lands on the east side of the Jordan seemed to be unlucky because they were close to wars of other nations. We must receive lands that are the yolk of the land. I believe that the people who attended this discipleship training will receive the best of lands. We have 4 meetings and those who attend all these meetings will receive crown every day. About 35% attends prayer meetings. About 40% attends discipleship training. About 80% attends small group meetings. Those who only attend Sunday Worship service form 20%. Through knowing their hearts, God tells us that we will know the inheritance they will receive. We already know Christ and His surpassing greatness. Therefore, we must live central to this.

 

5) Advice: Leave remnants behind

 


Judges: IsraelÕs Failure

 

The period after Joshua died was the era of Judges. There were not many years later and Israel failed. In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit <Jg 21:25>. This is the reason of failure.

 

1) IsraelÕs unfaithfulness

 

Israel worshipped idols, and God used Gentiles to beat them up.

 

2) Repeated failures and GodÕs Mercy

 

Israel cried out, God had mercy and gave them judges. There were 12 in total, and they were like kings. However, these repeated again and again and the situation in Israel went from bad to worse. Who is their king? God! Israel failed because pastors were not good. Pastors were called Levites.

 

3) Reason of failure <Jg 17-21>: Levites

 

It was shown that where a place offered more salary, the Levite minister packed up and went. According to manÕs intention, idols were anyhow carved. The high priest was anyhow established. How do we know whether one is GodÕs anointed? If they are from God above, they are anointed by God. We can differentiate by looking at whether their thoughts have roots. If they have, their judgment and speech all have foundation. The problems of the churches of this era are actually the problems of pastors and elders. If a brother or sister is better than the pastor, he or she must drive the pastor away or he must pack up, leave and set up another ministry. The church attitude must be like this. If the pastor is around, he must speak. However, in the churches of this age, pastors take turns to speak on the pulpit. This is so chaotic. For a year, there are 52 weeks but there is no system in the messages. For some churches, they have already fixed 3 years of sermons. The believers can obtain spiritual knowledge, but they will not be able to see GodÕs miracles in their daily lives and how these miracles happen in their hearts.

 

Judges is about the problems of Levites. The Levites then also had concubines. As a representation of Levites, one of them had a concubine and she was a playgirl. After committing adultery, the pastor even went to look for her and begged her to return. At her fatherÕs house, he stayed and got himself drunk for 4 days. On the 5th day, he must go as he needed to serve at Sabbath. At the area of Benjamites, he stayed over and his concubine was raped throughout the night. When the Levites were in the wrong, we can understand what happened to the whole spiritual state of Benjamin tribe, where homosexuals abounded. Similarly to what happened at Sodom and Gomorrah, they did not want the girl but wanted the man. Therefore, the father-in-law gave them his daughter. The next morning, she was dead. The pastor cut up his concubine into 12 pieces and sent to all the tribes of Israel. This caused all Israel to come to attack Benjamites, and there was risk of eliminating the tribe of Benjamin. This is like the state of churches of history, where Satan continued to attack, and this is even like the current era of churches.

 

 

Ruth

 

In the midst of all these failures, there was famine. Naomi came out from Israel, lost her husband and her two sons. She acquired a Gentile woman. Through her, she acquired back all her inheritance. There is an important concept here and this is kinsman-redeemer. He was Boaz. Through this Gentile lady, David was born. Ruth was David and Jesus ChristÕs grandmother. Jesus Christ must come through Abraham, Judah and David.

 

1) Blessed life <Chapter 1>

 

ÒWhere are you going, mother? Your God is my GodÓ is RuthÕs confession of her faith.

 

2) Blessed Meeting <Chapter 2>

 

Blessed life will have blessed meetings. Ruth met Boaz.


3) Blessed Resolution <Chapter 3>

 

When Ruth met Boaz and knew that he was her kinsman-redeemer, she hired herself on Boaz. When we meet Jesus Christ, we should hire ourselves totally on Him! Why do we leave anything behind?

 

4) Blessed Fruit <Chapter 4>

 

Those who have such a blessed resolution will bear blessed fruits.

 

 

1 Samuel

 

During the era of judges, even Samson, a Nazarite was so weak.

 

1) HannahÕs Prayer = NazariteÕs Prayer

 

This is the prayer of ÒLiving SacrificeÓ. ÒLord, if You give me a son, I will sacrifice him to You.Ó This is the same prayer as what Abraham did to Isaac on Mount Moriah. Therefore, God gave her Samuel, 3 sons and 2 daughters.

 

2) Samuel who heard GodÕs voice

 

The biggest difference between Samuel and all other Israelites was that he heard GodÕs voice. From young, Samuel heard the voice of God.

 

3) Ebenezer God of evidences

 

In the same time, Samuel restored the Ebenezer God, the Helper of Israel.

 

4) Mizpah Movement

 

Samuel restored the Mizpah Movement. He caused all Israelites to gather at Mizpah. At Mizpah, he did the movement of sacrifice. Offering sacrifices is dying and resurrecting together with Christ. Mizpah Movement is the movement of prayer. It is also the movement of Ebenezer, the movement of evidences. And because of the Mizpah Movement, God caused Philistines not be able to attack Israel anymore and Israel was victorious. The Mizpah Movement brought about the driving away of problems within us, our families and our church.

 

Through the Mizpah Movement, Samuel acquired 2 disciples. Firstly, it was Saul. Then it was David.

 

5) King Saul

 

IsraelÕs first king was Saul.

 

6) King David

 

Through the process of establishing the kingdom through Saul, we discover that it was for the second king of Israel, David. SamuelÕs Mizpah Movement was for David. SaulÕs hardening is for DavidÕs sanctification, strengthening, training, equipping, power and inheritance. David is a very important person.

 

 

2 Samuel: DavidÕs turning point

 

The emphasis of the Books of History is fully about David. The Seed of Abraham => the Son of David => Jesus Christ. There is definitely a vein. From them, it comes to me, which is the church. There is definitely a vein, where it is living and breathing.

 

 

1 Kings

 

1) The secret of success

 

For success, the life and living system must be correct. This is being central to the temple.

 

2) Failure

 

The reason of failure is because of marriage to foreign women. These brought a lot of idols. God therefore gave a lot of warnings.

 

3) Division

 

In the end, Israel was divided. There were 2 tribes: Judah and Northern Israel. Judah started from life and had the DNA of Jesus Christ. Northern Israel was a carbon copy, and can be duplicated many times. Northern Israel and Saul followed the system of idols and religion. Judah had the system of life.

 

4) Ahab and Elijah

 

There was the worst king, Ahab and the prophet, Elijah. GodÕs work never stopped. God gave to Adam and had never stopped working. It is only that man moved and changed. GodÕs work continued in the remnants, Òthe stump of the treeÓ. In this era, there are also people remaining. Remnants are those who know Jesus Christ. They know the promise of Abraham, the five mysteries of Israel, the Mizpah Movement, and David. In the era of Judges and in Northern Israel, there were remnants. Last week, we know that we are the prophets of this era.



2 Kings

 

After 1 Kings (success, failure, division, evil king) come the destruction of Israel and the exile of Judah. Especially important in the destruction of Israel is Elisha. Elisha performed a lot of miracles. Elijah prepared the way for Elisha. This is as if John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus Christ and He performed more than John. What Elisha judged, everything was accomplished. In <1Ki 19:15-17>, Elijah heard GodÕs plan on Mount Horeb to anoint 3 people: (1) Hazael king over Aram, (2) Jehu king of Israel, (3) Elisha to continue his work.

 

1) Continued the work of Elijah

 

2Kings is the accomplishment of this. Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu <2Ki 19:17>. This means that Elisha had gone into a very high spiritual state into the heavens. Jehu is Israel. Hazael is Gentile. Hazael was used by God to punish Israel. However, Hazael worked only to take away the plunders of war. However, when Jehu was raised up, he knew the inside doings of Israel. Thus, he killed off everything Ahab and his 70 children princes. He also killed all the priests of Baal. However, those who had escaped Jehu would not escape Elisha. Therefore, Elisha took the place of God and performed a lot of miraculous signs as evidences of the judgment of God.

 

* ElishaÕs miracles

 

Elisha performed a lot of miracles as (i) Signs, (ii) raised 7000 disciples, (iii) Among the disciples and peoples, the concept of the Shunammite woman. The Shunammite woman was one who showed the best hospitality to Elisha. She gave him the best of rooms, the upper room. Through Elisha, she received a son, and when the son died, Elisha revived him. No matter what, there was a Shunammite woman. In every era, there are those who specially loved God and GodÕs servants. Those who show more support to GodÕs servants will surely be blessed. This is what the whole history has proved.

 

2) Anointed Jehu

 

3) Anointed Hazael

 

4) Assyria and IsraelÕs destruction

 

These 4 people were the tools of God for the destruction of Israel. To the people of God (7000), they brought a lot of blessings. To those who were not the people of God, e.g. Ahab and Jezebel, they brought about a lot of curses.

 

5) Hezekiah and the exile of Judah

 

(1) Hezekiah and 2 evil kings after him. (2) Then Josiah reigned as king. The reformation of Josiah was very important. (3) Thereafter, Judah was exiled.

 

We will look into 2 Kings to better format ourselves in the coming days. No matter how weak Israel was, God never forsook her. This was because of the covenant made between God and Abraham and Isaac <2Ki 13:23>. For Judah, God waited until BC 586 for the exile of Judah because of the covenant made between God and David <2Ki 20:26>. Therefore, no matter how weak or chaotic the state of our family is, God will faithfully accomplish everything.

 

Therefore, you must make a covenant with God. Those who have done so are different. Many say they did; however in my eyes, I do not think so. They must make a covenant with God using the covenant of Abraham and Israel, and have to be able to see how the covenant made with God has been accomplished daily. This fixed perspective is very important. When we gather for 10 years, persecution, problems, and conflicts may come in the church, but we will see how the church will grow. We must restore the glory of Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and David.

 

We must read 2 Kings at least 3 times so that when I mention any names, you will know who I am referring.
