The bible says, “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” <Ro 3:23>. The glory of God is missing in the fallen men, therefore, they feel the nakedness as they see one another. This is the consequence of sin. Then, how can one restore the glory of God once again? Do we have to wait until we are about to leave the world, or until we receive the new spiritual body, before we can restore God’s glory once again? The new body is surely different from the flesh we’re in now. But more importantly, as we are still living here on earth, how can we restore the initial image that God had created in men? Stephen was the first brother who was martyred after Lord Jesus ascended to heaven. < Ac 6:15> tells us that, all who were sitting in the Sanhedrin looked intently at Stephen, and they saw that his face was like the face of an angel. What a glory it is! When we restore God’s word and heart, our appearances will naturally reflect and manifest the glory of God. Actually, if a person’s life truly restores that initial glory and honor which God put in us in the beginning of creation, we will surely restore the life of walking with God, and an intimate relationship with Him, ie we can enjoy everything the gospel brings. We ought to know, it is not that idealistic and easy in reality. Why? Because of the disturbances from the spiritual world, the evil spirit. There’re existences of the root of sin and sinful nature hidden in the depth of our hearts. All these will cause us to doubt Lord’s gospel, get confused and unable to enjoy all effects the gospel brings. Therefore, all the more we need to know how to differentiate the true and false gospel. False gospel brings extremely great destruction. True gospel serves to exalt Lord Jesus Christ and His Cross. God’s children will acknowledge that we can only be saved through Lord Jesus. Other doctrines and teachings are false gospel, and religion.
