使徒保罗说：“我们进入神的国，必须经历许多艰难。”这话绝对不是说我们人要借着受苦来赚取永生。这话乃是告诉我们说我们这真属于神的国，将来要进入这国而今日往这国去的人在地上必有艰难的道路。我们蒙恩的人受的苦一定有两种性质。1）这罪恶世界所受的所有的苦，我们都会感知得到。因为罪恶的存在，人的生老病死是一个现实。2）因为我们是与世分别的人，这世界和世界的王视我们为敌。所以，在这世界里众多的苦难中，还有另一种苦，就是要借着苦难来吞吃我们的信心。
Apostle Paul said, “we must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” This is absolutely not implying that we are earning eternal life through tribulations. Rather, it is telling us that we truly belong to the kingdom of God, and because are we entering this kingdom in future, today, we will have difficult paths on earth. There must be 2 characteristics to the trial experienced by blessed people like us. 1) We can relate to al tribulations in this sinful world. Due to the presence of evil, the life, aging, sickness, and death of human is a reality. 2) For we are set apart from the world, the world and the king of the world deem us as enemies. Therefore, there is a type of trial among the many in the world, that is, the trial that seeks to engulf our faith.
