33:1
|
雅各举目观看，见以扫来了，后头跟着四百人，他就把孩子们分开交给利亚、拉结，和两个使女，
|
|
|
And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau was coming, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
|
|
33:2
|
并且叫两个使女和他们的孩子在前头，利亚和他的孩子在后头，拉结和约瑟在尽后头。
|
|
|
And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
|
|
33:3
|
他自己在他们前头过去，一连七次俯伏在地才就近他哥哥。
|
|
|
And he himself passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
|
|
33:4
|
以扫跑来迎接他，将他抱住，又搂着他的颈项，与他亲嘴，两个人就哭了。
|
|
|
And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
|
|
33:5
|
以扫举目看见妇人孩子，就说：「这些和你同行的是谁呢？」雅各说：「这些孩子是神施恩给你的仆人的。」
|
|
|
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are these with thee? And he said, The children whom God hath graciously given thy servant.
|
|
33:6
|
于是两个使女和他们的孩子前来下拜；
|
|
|
Then the handmaids came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
|
|
33:7
|
利亚和他的孩子也前来下拜；随后约瑟和拉结也前来下拜。
|
|
|
And Leah also and her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
|
|
33:8
|
以扫说：「我所遇见的这些群畜是什么意思呢？」雅各说：「是要在我主面前蒙恩的。」
|
|
|
And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.
|
|
33:9
|
以扫说：「兄弟啊，我的已经够了，你的仍归你吧！」
|
|
|
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; let that which thou hast be thine.
|
|
33:10
|
雅各说：「不然，我若在你眼前蒙恩，就求你从我手里收下这礼物；因为我见了你的面，如同见了神的面，并且你容纳了我。
|
|
|
And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found favor in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand; forasmuch as I have seen thy face, as one seeth the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.
|
|
33:11
|
求你收下我带来给你的礼物；因为神恩待我，使我充足。」雅各再三的求他，他才收下了。
|
|
|
Take, I pray thee, my gift that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
|
|
33:12
|
以扫说：「我们可以起身前往，我在你前头走。」
|
|
|
And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.
|
|
33:13
|
雅各对他说：「我主知道孩子们年幼娇嫩，牛羊也正在乳养的时候，若是催赶一天，群畜都必死了。
|
|
|
And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and that the flocks and herds with me have their young: and if they overdrive them one day, all the flocks will die.
|
|
33:14
|
求我主在仆人前头走，我要量着在我面前群畜和孩子的力量慢慢地前行，直走到西珥我主那里。」
|
|
|
Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on gently, according to the pace of the cattle that are before me and according to the pace of the children, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.
|
|
33:15
|
以扫说：「容我把跟随我的人留几个在你这里。」雅各说：「何必呢？只要在我主眼前蒙恩就是了。」
|
|
|
And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find favor in the sight of my lord.
|
|
33:16
|
于是，以扫当日起行，回往西珥去了。
|
|
|
So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.
|
|
33:17
|
雅各就往疏割去，在那里为自己盖造房屋，又为牲畜搭棚；因此那地方名叫疏割（就是棚的意思）。
|
|
|
And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him a house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
|
|
33:18
|
雅各从巴但亚兰回来的时候，平平安安的到了迦南地的示剑城，在城东支搭帐棚，
|
|
|
And Jacob came in peace to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Paddan-aram; and encamped before the city.
|
|
33:19
|
就用一百块银子向示剑的父亲、哈抹的子孙买了支帐棚的那块地，
|
|
|
And he bought the parcel of ground, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem`s father, for a hundred pieces of money.
|
|
33:20
|
在那里筑了一座坛，起名叫伊利伊罗伊以色列（就是神、以色列神的意思）。
|
|
|
And he erected there an altar, and called it El-elohe-israel.
